In celebration of the Philippine Arts Month, Pugad ni Art Studio (PnAS) is set to take center stage once again for another breathtaking group exhibition entitled QUERENCIA. It will be on view from 1 to 14 February 2023 with an Artist’s Reception on 1 February (Wednesday) at 6:00 PM at ArtistSpace located at Ground Level, Ayala Museum Annex, Makati Avenue corner De La Rosa Street, Greenbelt Park, Makati City.

Querencia means “a place where one draws inspiration or strength from” or “the place where one feels most comfortable and true.”

The group exhibition presents a combination of twenty-two (22) visual artists coming from different parts of Luzon, mainly from the Cordillera region. It is a combination of both budding and seasoned artists showcasing forty-five (45) works of art. The participating artists are Francis Alingcayon, Angelie Banaag, Manny Cabrera, Salvador Cabrera Jr., Norman Casilin, RM Cerezo, Alfonso Dato, Alfred Dato, Yoner Dato, Erni “ErGo” Gomez, Art Lozano, Summer Lozano, Franco Matucad, Elmo Modelo, Iwag Palattao, Mia Panimdim, Lourice Raphael, Jose Santiago, Dexter Simsim, Joey Simsim, Hazel Sobremonte, and Kyle Vizcara.

Querencia, from the word itself, aims to bring its audience in to a world where they feel at home, safe, and above all empowered. The art pieces represent the participating artists’ story of where they draw strength and inspiration from–in an “arena” called life where we all need to keep fighting to survive and stand victorious at the end of the battle.

The exhibition is presented by Pugad ni Art Studio, Inc. (PNAS), an organization primarily dedicated in promoting its members’ artistic expression through abstract, conceptual, and representational arts and education benefiting the Baguio Creative City, Province of Benguet, and Cordillera Region as a whole towards nation-building.
