Smart, Hatchiko empower load resellers

PLDT Inc. (PLDT) wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) has teamed up with digital and retail distribution company Hatchiko Corp. (Hatchiko) to empower Smart load resellers with a digital platform.
“Our partnership with Hatchiko through our key account Muenchen Corporation ensures that our Smart load products and services are accessible to the millions of Filipinos that they serve, and at the same time, augment the income of resellers by adding value-packed and relevant products to their portfolio,” said Gia Palafox, Head of Sales and Development at Smart.
Through the Hatchiko digital platform, load resellers can manage transactions anytime, and monitor their load wallet balance, rebates earned, and Hatchifund balance. They will also have access to simplified reloading and payments through Maya.
“We aim to transform the current load reseller model by launching a digital loading portal that simplifies and streamlines the loading process for both resellers and consumers, empowering them with tools that can enable a more efficient, transparent, and scalable solution to support resellers in managing their transactions and growing their businesses,” said Bill Vergel Mendoza, President at Hatchiko.
“Smart has been a valued partner of Muenchen and Hatchiko, and they have supported us in all our endeavors, especially in improving the livelihood of our members,” said Roselle Calica, President at Muenchen Corp. Hatchiko is the digital arm of Muenchen and offers a range of services for its users, including solutions to integrate platforms, manage bulk transactions, or process e-load.
Smart e-load has been one of the fastest selling products for resellers and retailers across the country since it was introduced in 2003. A world-first innovation in mobile communication, Smart e-load marked the birth of prepaid services, democratizing access to mobile communication for Filipinos and enabling easier communication across the nation and overseas.
Partnerships with companies like Hatchiko and Muenchen are a key part of PLDT and Smart’s commitment to narrowing the digital divide and enabling access to communications for more Filipinos across the country, contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG), particularly on SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure.
