In a night filled with glamour and environmental consciousness, Irha Mel Alfeche from Matanao, Davao del Sur, emerged victorious as Miss Philippines Earth 2024. The coronation, held in Talakag, Bukidnon, showcased not only beauty but also commitment to environmental stewardship.
During the final Q and A, she was asked this question: What have you learned from your journey in the Miss Philippines Earth that you would like to share with the younger generations? Alfeche answered, “As an educator myself, I need to educate the young ones, the children, to preserve and conserve our Mother Earth, and as an aspirant Miss Philippines Earth, I will be a role model in protecting our Mother Earth. Always remember, if we work hand-in-hand, together we can create an environment for our better future.”
Joining Alfeche in the court were Feliz Clareianne Thea Solomon Recentes of Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte, named Miss Philippines Air 2024, Samantha Dana Bug-os of Baco, Oriental Mindoro, as Miss Philippines Water 2024, and Kia Labiano of Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay, honored as Miss Philippines Fire 2024.
Amidst the glitz and glamour, Ira Patricia Malaluan of Batangas City received the prestigious title of Miss Philippines Eco Tourism 2024, underscoring the pageant’s emphasis on sustainable tourism and environmental conservation.
Irha Mel Alfeche also won Hana Beauties special award, Bronze in Beach Wear competition and Gold in Swimsuit competition.
